Pushing Through Tradition :
When I look at the ministry of Jesus
I see a ministry that seems to be completely void of tradition.
We know that He did some things like attending the synagogue as a custom.
So I would say that we often interchange custom as tradition.
Jesus was a Teacher a Rabbi but not in the traditional sense. Instead of teaching the popular doctrine of the day He taught the principals of The Kingdom of God. God's rules or laws that govern His Kingdom .
Tradition will lock you in to a particular protocol that govern particular doctrine
Those of us who are called to minister outside of the church walls push through tradition while yet maintaining custom.
We minister outside of the box being conventional. But so did John the Baptist and Jesus. The religious leaders of that day simply could not figure out their methods or approach.
While organized religion does what it does, meet together, fellowship together,
worship together an overwhelming majority does not know what field in the world they are assigned to.
If one is not careful they can become institutionalized within the walls and in essence are hiding their candle in the safe environment known as the church they are a part of.
What do you think??

What a great eye opener! Really puts into perspective the importance of ministry outside the church walls.
