Light: In The Darkness

Have you ever wandered why our light is not as obvious in our fields of labor as we think they should be.

The scripture says in John 1:5 that the darkness doesn't comprehend the light.

It's like it is there all the time but it can't figure out just what it is.

I think that is why it is important to pay attention to those we encounter those of whom God positions us in proximity of.
I believe that as we represent Christ and His interests and His interests are people, We must build relationships in the field we are assigned to.

Scripture tells us that King Agrippa speaking to Paul said " almost you have persuaded me to be a Christian.
This indicates that Paul had been spending some time with him in trying to convince him.
So I encourage those who are lights in the darkness just to keep on letting it shine.
Even though you feel like no one in your field notices or understands. God has some there that the Holy Spirit will draw to Himself because of your witness there.

Pushing Through Tradition

Pushing Through Tradition :

When I look at the ministry of Jesus
I see a ministry that seems to be completely void of tradition.
We know that He did some things like attending the synagogue as a custom.

So I would say that  we often interchange custom as tradition.

Jesus was a Teacher a Rabbi but not in the traditional sense.  Instead of teaching  the popular doctrine of the day He taught the principals of The Kingdom of God.  God's rules or laws that govern His Kingdom .
Tradition will lock you in to a particular protocol that govern particular doctrine

Those of us who are called to minister outside of the church walls push through tradition while yet maintaining custom.

We minister outside of the box being conventional.  But so did John the Baptist and Jesus.  The religious leaders of that day simply could not figure out their methods or approach.
While organized religion does what it does, meet together, fellowship together,
worship together an overwhelming majority does not know what field in the world they are assigned to.
If one is not careful they can become institutionalized within the walls and in essence are hiding their candle in the safe environment known as the church they are a part of.

What do you think??

Going to Church or Being the Church

If you are like me you have probably wondered why inside the walls of the church there are so many functions and activities. Some people are even made to feel condemned if they can't be involved with everything.
Time with family has to be squeezed in and to have friends outside of the walls are frowned upon.
I do realize that those who are babe's must be protected from the evil-one until they are discipled enough to go out into their assigned territory in the world.
But it is in the world that our lights shine! Not inside the walls. I believe that is why there is little conversion growth and more transfer growth in the church in America.
Those of us who have transitioned in ministry outside the church walls have had to confront religion and remain focused on advancing  and expanding the Kingdom of God.
I believe that we are currently called to permeate the atmosphere in our assigned mountain with God's Righteousness and Peace so that the Power of the Holy Spirit can release the anointing of the evangelist in that territory!
I too believe that if we show up and abide faithful to what we are called to do, God will Show Out With His power to transform lives!!

I welcome comments
